Posted by Prior to Tuesday's match between the two teams in the round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup, Switzerland's Xherdan Shaqiri issued a warning to his team not to underestimate Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo.
Along with Lionel Messi, the captain of Argentina, Shaqiri considers Ronaldo to be among the best players in the world.
On Tuesday night at the Lusail Stadium, Switzerland and Portugal will square off in the World Cup round of 16.
Shaqiri told reporters after practice on Sunday, “You cannot write off Cristiano, he is one of the best players in the world along with Messi.
“This guy has the experience and everyone knows how important he is for Portugal and for his team. He can score at any second or minute.”
Portugal vs. Switzerland will begin at 8 p.m.
