Chris Sutton criticizes Chelsea winger: “You should have walked back in shame

Chris Sutton, a former Chelsea striker, has slammed Mykhailo Mudryk after the winger celebrated his Premier League goal against Arsenal last weekend.

Sutton maintained that Mudryk should not have been allowed to celebrate his goal against Arsenal, saying the Ukrainian should have walked back to the halfway line in ’embarrassment’.

Mudryk scored Chelsea’s second goal of the season in a 2-2 tie with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, lofting the ball over David Raya.

While it appeared that Mudryk intended to cross into the box, the former Shakhtar Donetsk player won praise by standing with his arms raised in front of spectators.

Sutton, on the other hand, believes Mudryk was wrong to celebrate the goal since he ‘didn’t mean it’.

“I don’t think you should be allowed to celebrate a goal if you don’t mean it,” Sutton was quoted as saying by Metro UK.

“I know he was happy, but he also celebrated as if it meant something.” Come on, that was ridiculous!

“Not like the big arms out there!” If you intend to cross it, you should walk back with embarrassment.”
