The Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development (FMYSD) encourages Nigerian youth to participate in the 2nd National Sixty-Day App Development Challenge, in collaboration with the Bank of Industry. The Sixty-Day App Challenge aims to engage young Nigerians in building a mobile application to improve a variety of procedures and increase citizen accessibility to services.

According to the National Youth Policy, the initiative, which is open to applicants between the ages of 18 and 35, aims to improve innovation and creativity among Nigerian youth by encouraging them to develop their own app ideas and turn them into a reality by using them to solve problems within one of the shortlisted sectors listed below:
Agric-tech: The Agric-tech industry includes agricultural technologies such as precision farming, crop monitoring, and irrigation systems. An app idea that tackles a problem in this industry may be one that assists farmers in optimizing agricultural yields, early detection of pests and illnesses, or streamlining irrigation systems.

Edu-tech: The Edu-tech sector includes educational technologies such as online learning platforms, virtual classrooms, and instructional games. An app idea that tackles a problem in this area could be one that helps students learn more successfully, offers underserved communities with access to high-quality education, or gratifies the learning process.
Fintech: The Fitch sector includes financial technologies such as mobile banking, internet payment systems, and personal finance management applications. An app idea that solves an issue in this area could be one that helps consumers manage their finances more simply, offers underserved communities with access to financial services, or improves the payment process for businesses.
Health: The Health sector includes healthcare-related technology such as telemedicine, fitness tracking, and disease management. An app idea that tackles an issue in this area could be one that assists people in better managing their health, offers access to healthcare for underserved communities, or tracks and motivates healthy behaviors.
Sports: The Sports sector includes sports-related technology such as fitness tracking, performance analysis, and sports media. An app idea that solves an issue in this area could be one that helps players enhance their performance, provides underserved communities with access to sports material, or facilitates the process of managing a sports team.
