Bill Gates, the American business billionaire, stated her 20-year-old youngest daughter, Phoebe, told him that when he visits Nigeria, he will be lucky to witness Nigerian Afrobeats musicians Burna Boy and Rema.
Gates made the announcement during his opening remarks at an event in Lagos on Wednesday.

On Monday, Gates and Aliko Dangote met with President Bola Tinubu.
The gathering was part of the Gates Foundation’s commitment to collaborating with communities and leaders to foster innovation.

Gates stated that Phoebe was looking forward to his travel to Nigeria and seeing Afrobeats musicians such as Burna Boy and Rema.
“When my daughter Phoebe learned I was coming to Nigeria, she remarked, “You’re lucky because you get to see Burna Boy and Rema, so I had to look them up…since I’m so ‘cool’,” he explained. But I remember seeing Davido and Wizkid perform here the last time I was here.”
Gates went on to say that Nigeria is full with creative people, and that Afrobeats from Nigeria are popular all over the world.
