After everything was said and done, England defeated Senegal 3-0 in the tournament’s round of 16 to advance to the quarterfinals, and Keane might be wondering what all the fuss was about.

Late in the first half, England went ahead thanks to goals from Harry Kane and Jordan Henderson, and Bukayo Saka made sure the Three Lions won 3-0.

Fans of the African champions had created a fabulous atmosphere inside the Al Bayt Stadium ahead of kickoff, with everybody seen enjoying themselves and Keane was not impressed.

Very irritating. It’s getting on my nerves,” Keane remarked after ITV presenter Mark Pougatch gave his assessment of the fans.

Pougatch got back at him, saying: “It’s very lovely, Roy, it’s a World Cup…”

Keane maintained his earlier stand as he quipped: “Oh, it is, it’s lovely – but it’s annoying.”
