Idowu Daniel, a 31-year-old instructor, was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old student and was sentenced to seven years in prison by an Ikeja Special Offenses Court.

On Monday, September 19, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo issued a decision in the case and stated that the accusation of child defilement against the defendant had not been proven by the prosecution.
However, this was due to the survivor’s absence from court during her scheduled testimony.

The defendant acknowledged to fondling the victim’s breast twice and trying to have sex with her, but was unable to penetrate her since she was a virgin, according to Justice Taiwo, who remarked that the defendant’s voluntary confessional statement revealed that he sexually abused the youngster.
The offender is found guilty of sexually assaulting a kid, according to Taiwo.
