As South Korea defeats Portugal, Son Heung-min reacts and cautions Brazil

Son Heung-min, a forward for South Korea, was pleased with his team's 2-1 World Cup group stage victory over Portugal.

Heung-min additionally cautioned that South Korea would make all effort to defeat them when the two sides square off on Monday in the round of 16.

Portugal was defeated by South Korea thanks to a late goal from Hee-chan.

The Tottenham Hotspur player said at the post-game press conference, “We as players believed collectively we could do this. We waited really long for this moment.

There were times when I was unable to give my all, but I am grateful for my teammates because they stepped in when I was unable to, and I am very proud of them.

“At first, I believed it would be a challenging game, and we anticipated it to be challenging.

“It was quite difficult, but our players persevered, and we worked very hard. We did well, and I am pleased with our guys' performance.

“Getting into the round of 16 was our aim, but now we have higher goals,” he continued.

We'll do our best to prepare for our best game because “no one knows the world of football, especially now,” and since we have a chance to defeat Brazil.
