Dino Melaye, a spokesman for Atiku Abubakar's presidential campaign, reacted to Bola Ahmed Tinubu's campaign on Saturday, accusing it of attempting to profit on the PDP's internal squabble.
In a subtle allusion to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State's vow to leave the PDP, Melaye promised that Atiku will not sacrifice those chosen by the party for his own ambition or only to please authoritarian democrats.
He asserted that Atiku would be satisfied with his actions even if he mistakenly alienated certain party members by abiding by the rules.
In a statement headed “No shortcut to success,” Melaye, a former chairman of the Senate Committee on the Federal Capital Territory, made the findings.
The Ahmed Bola Tinubu camp's spinners, he alleged, “are back at it, grabbing onto a dubious prognosis to grant victory to a crazy man who stated that the president of Nigeria is a categorical entitlement.
