Fellowships for Humanity in Action at Columbia University

Columbia University has made the Humanity in Action Fellowships call for applications public, with the purpose of bringing together international students to debate pressing global issues. Applications for the academic year 2023-2024 are now being accepted.

Candidates for this fellowship program should be fluent in the English language. Undergraduate students from certain countries who are majoring in STEM, humanities, arts and architecture, or social sciences are eligible for this grant. The fellowship award covers the participation fees and housing for the five-week program.

Scholarship Benefits in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, France, Greece, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine, or the United States
The university will supply all of the following:

The participation expenses and lodging for the five-week program are paid by the fellowship award given by Columbia University to the selected applicants.
Humanity in Action Fellowships are largely intended for undergraduate students.

The number of awards is not given.

Criteria for Eligibility
To be eligible for the Humanity in Action Fellowships, all applicants must meet the following criteria.

At the time of application, candidates must be full-time sophomores, juniors, or seniors.
Candidates must submit their requests from one of the qualifying locations.

Students must use the Common Application and Coalition Application portals to submit their admission applications. This page contains information regarding the fellowship application.
Documents that back up your claim: Students must provide the following papers to the university:
2 teacher recommendations from a secondary school individual essay
A student’s accomplishments, activities, occupations, and summertime activities are documented and explained based on information from my own life.
Requirements for entry: Applicants must submit all required papers at the time of submission.
Language requirement: Students must provide the following English language proficiency exam results:
IBT TOEFL – 105
DET – 135 IELTS 7.5
