According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United is thinking about awarding Alejandro Garnacho their coveted No. 7 jersey.
In April of last year, the 18-year-old winger faced Chelsea in his first game with the first team.
Garnacho has since established himself as a fixture under boss Erik ten Hag.
In the Premier League last season, Garnacho, who currently sports the No. 49 jersey, scored three goals and made notable bench appearances.
The adolescent might, however, be in line for a promotion given that United is thinking about giving him the No. 7 jersey.
Cristiano Ronaldo gave up the jersey following his contentious departure from Old Trafford in December.
Garnacho, who committed to United in April on a five-year contract, may now receive the honor.
