In response to Eden Hazard’s retirement, Chelsea and De Bruyne

Football Club and Manchester City playmaker Kevin de Bruyne have responded to captain Eden Hazard's decision to leave international competition.

Following Belgium's elimination from the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar a few days ago, Hazard, 31, announced his retirement from the Belgium national team on Wednesday. He is 31 years old.

The Real Madrid player announced his decision to end his international career in a post on his Instagram page.

Chelsea commented on Hazard's Instagram post by writing, “One of the all-time Belgian greats!”

De Bruyne acknowledged that the former Chelsea star will be missed.

What a journey it has been, De Bruyne tweeted. Salutations, Capi. We'll miss you.
