Kennedy Ibe, Speaker of the Imo State Assembly, resigns

Kennedy Ibe, Speaker of the House of Assembly, has made his resignation as Speaker of the House official.

This information was revealed on Monday at a special legislative session held at the state house of the assembly complex.

Ibe claimed that his choice was made after extensive discussion with his family and political allies.

He added that it was better for the All Progressives Congress, APC, political position in Imo State for him to step down as Speaker of the House of Assembly.

But he added that he would keep backing the Imo State Assembly, the APC, and the state administration.

The new Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly has been sworn in as Emeka Nduka, a member from the Ehime Mbano state constituency.
