Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Tuesday met with defections from the All Progressive Congress (), New Nigeria Political Party (), and Social Democratic Party () in Yola South.

The Governor reiterated that the method is aimed to restore the state's amazing reputation and have a significant influence on people's lives while further elucidating the cattle tax issue and demonstrating how merchants in neighboring states pay the same or more taxes.

He increased his accomplishments in a number of areas, including infrastructure, health security, education, and youth empowerment.

The governor promised to keep doing his best to provide the dividend of democracy and welcomed the defectors to the , the largest party in Africa.

Alhaji Manu Ngurore responded to the delegation's leader by characterizing the governor as a project manager and grassroots mobilizer who has altered the state's narratives, encouraging them to join the Party and pledge to mobilize for him in 2023.
