Many bandits are defeated by troops in the Kaduna forests
While conducting clearance operations in bandit enclaves near the Idasu, Fatika, and Makera forests in Kaduna State's Giwa Local Government Area, Nigerian Army soldiers neutralized a number of bandits.
In a statement released on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, the state's commissioner for internal security and home affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said that while many bandits have been confirmed neutralized thus far, others have continued to flee with gunshot wounds to the Hayin Siddi region near the interstate boundaries.
According to the statement, “The Kaduna State Government observed the report with satisfaction and has praised the troops heartily for the victory, while also encouraging them to greater breakthroughs.”
The government asks residents in these geographical locations to call the security operations room on the numbers 09034000060 and 08170189999 to report any suspicious people who are seeking medical assistance for gunshot wounds.
“Offenses are ongoing in the general vicinity, and the public will be kept informed of new developments.”
