Adebowale revealed this at the school’s new student matriculation ceremony on Tuesday.
gospelcable reports that 3,792 students were cleared for the 2022/2023 matriculation ceremony across faculties.
Our Registrar, Mr. Ganiyu Saliu, led the pupils in the matriculation oath.
The VC, speaking through Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, Professor Aderonke Mojisola Baiyeroju, said the institution is a place of freedom with regulations.
He advised university students to carefully use their newfound independence.
Adebowale added that the institution is a sanctuary of independence where no one wakes students up to attend class.
He also warned that University engagements follow rules.
He advised them to learn the rules and do their best to follow them and stay legal.
You have no reason to not read and get good scores. As mentioned, the university offers freedom under rules. University engagements are governed by rules.
“You must find the rules and do your best to follow them and stay legal.
“For those who will run foul of the law, the Students Disciplinary Committee is the university’s means of proceeding and sanctioning misconduct.”
