Nigerian Man Wanted by Authorities Arrested by Police in Sierra Leone

Benjamin Hundeyin, the Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State , has verified that Benjamin Nnanyereugo was arrested by the Sierra Leonan Police Force for the alleged murder of his fiancée. This arrest was made by the Sierra Leonan Police Force.

In an interview with Punch, Hundeyin stated that the Nigeria Police had verified that Nnanyereugo had been arrested.

He is currently being held by the Sierra Leonean Police Force, and efforts are being made to extradite him to Nigeria.

One Benjamin Nnanyereugo was named a wanted person on October 11 by the Lagos State Police Command in connection with the death of Augusta Osedion, who was his girlfriend.

Nnanyereugo is suspected of killing the 21-year-old woman on July 13, , in his home at Oral Estate in the Ajah region of the state, according to a statement released by the police on Tuesday. The statement was made by Benjamin Hundeyin, the police department's spokesperson.

The statement, in part, read as follows:

“After exhausting all of the available options to bring him in, he has been listed as wanted,” the statement read.

The suspect is 26 years old, is at about 5 feet 9 inches tall, and is originally from the state of Abia. He is able to communicate successfully in English, Igbo, and pidgin English, despite having a dark skin.
