Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has ordered the Head of Service and Permanent Secretaries to give workers a schedule of duties to justify their employment.

Tuesday, Buni swore in nine new state public servants as permanent secretaries.
As you know, this administration recently hired over 2,600 degree graduates, diploma, and NCE holders to fill state civil service vacancies to boost efficiency.

“I charge the Head of Service and Permanent Secretaries to promote schedule of responsibilities, giving every worker a duty to justify their employment and the resources expended as wages on civil servants,” he said.
According to him, this will offer state workers a sense of belonging and involvement and reduce laziness and absenteeism, boosting productivity.
He advised the incoming permanent secretaries to work well with their commissioners, directors, and other ministry and department officials to meet targets and achieve optimum achievements.

“You must show loyalty, sacrifice, and diligence to the machinery of governance in Yobe State,” he said.
The new permanent secretaries are Alhaji Modu, Umar Aji Suleiman, Abdulmumin Mamman, Tsoho Rabiu Garba, and Sani Mohammed Sama’ila.
Zainab Mohammed Ago, Yusuf Hassan Yusuf, Bukar Aji Bukar, and Baba Kachallah Geidam. All have been assigned to state ministries, departments, and agencies.
