Phrank Shaibu, an adviser to Atiku, has made allegations that the Tinubu government had covertly reinstated fuel subsidies

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party in 2023, has a special adviser on public communication named Phrank . Shaibu has accused the administration of President Bola Tinubu of covertly restoring gasoline subsidies.

He stated that this was demonstrated by the significant disparity between the costs of gasoline, kerosene, and diesel.

Shaibu said in a statement that was released on Tuesday that Nigerians should not let themselves be fooled by the antics of this regime. They have sneakily reinstated gasoline price stooping in the market. Because of this factor, the cost of gasoline has stayed relatively unchanged, in contrast to increases in the cost of diesel, kerosene, and cooking gas.

“How is it that the price of crude oil and foreign currency can go up while the price of gasoline stays the same?” Is it feasible that the price of rice may increase but the price of fried rice, which includes additives like green pepper, green peas, and salt, might remain the same? It defies logic in every way!

“Because they are aware of the lies that are being told by the Tinubu administration, foreign investors have made the decision to not take him seriously.”

It is important to keep in mind that Tinubu had announced the termination of the fuel subsidy program during his inauguration on May 29. The withdrawal of the subsidy had resulted in an increase in the price of gasoline at the pump throughout the nation.
