The Lamidi Apapa section of the party issued a warning to Obi, stating that he will be suspended from the party if he does not provide an explanation for the inconsistencies that surround his academic credentials within the next 48 hours.
According to a statement released by the spokesman of the faction, Abayomi Arabambi, Obi needs to provide an explanation regarding the accusation that he impersonates his late older brother.
Tanko Yinusa, the spokesman for the presidential campaign council representing Peter Obi and Datti Ahmed, was criticized by Arabambi for suggesting that the allegation that Obi was mimicking his deceased older brother was a joke. Arabambi found this statement to be offensive.
According to Arabambi, “The Labour Party wishes to demand an answer to the following at this juncture: what is the name of this so-called elder brother of Peter Obi who read computer science?”

Why does the name that is written on his UNN certificate differ from the name that is written on the certificate that he received from his school? Which university helped Peter Obi get signed up for his required one-year National Youth Service? Why is the name on his certificate from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) different from the name on his certificate from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka?
According to him, “One would have expected Peter Obi to offer a satisfactory response to Nigerians as to the reasons for explicit discrepancies in his academic records to reveal his true identity and save our party from further avoidable national embarrassment.” He was referring to the fact that Nigerians were unaware of Peter Obi’s true identity.
“But rather than toe this line of challenge, his attack dog descended into the arena of political somersault, leaving facts to promote audio fiction, thus confirming our position that Peter Obi is using the name and certificate of his dead elder brother.”
Arabambi stated that first and foremost, it must be made crystal apparent to the public that Obi has not produced any evidence to refute the claims of forgery, impersonation, and discrepancies that are contained in his school certificate, certificate from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, and NYSC certificate. Arabambi said this must be made obvious to the public.
