Udom is appointed as DG of Atiku’s campaign council
The Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council has released a list of its members.
The director general of the campaign is Udom Emmanuel, the governor of Akwa Ibom State. Bala Mohammed, the governor of Oyo State, and Seyi Makinde, the governor of Bauchi State, are the vice chairs for the campaign's north and south, respectively.
Aminu Tambuwual, the governor of Sokoto State, was also appointed by the campaign committee as director general of the National Campaign Management Committee.
Four of the committee's directorates are overseen by Deputy Directors General. They are Okwesileze Nwodo (Administration), Raymond Dokpesi (Technical and Systems), Sen. Liyel Imoke (Operations), and Prof. Adewale Oladipo (Admin) (Research and Strategy).
Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, was listed as number 13 on the list along with the majority of his allies.
The list includes the names of former Vice President Namadi Sambo, who is still a PDP member, as well as former State Governors, former Ministers, all former Senate Presidents, and members of the Board of Trustees.
Ike Ekwerenmadu, a former vice president of the Senate, was also included. Ahmadu Ali and Vincent Ogbulafor, both former party National Chairmen, were also listed as members.
Former Army Chiefs Generals Ishaya Bamaiyi, Martin Luther Agwai, and Keneth Minima were among the other individuals whose names were on the list.
Interestingly, though, the former president Goodluck Jonathan's name was
on the long list, seen Since leaving office in 2015, the former President has stayed away from the majority of the party's functions.
