Eniola Aluko, a former England Women’s star, has heaped praise on young midfielder Jude Bellingham after the Borussia Dortmund player emerged as the World Cup’s star performer on Sunday as the Three Lions defeated Senegal.
The 19-year-old midfielder gave a performance that England supporters will never forget to aid Gareth Southgate’s team in overwhelming Africa’s top team.
Fans and even teammates have praised the young midfielder, who is being watched by top European clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Real Madrid. The midfielder has a very bright future ahead of him.
I don’t believe he has a limit. I don’t think he’s doing what anyone else has done at his age in midfield, Miss Aluko, whose brother, Sone, was a Nigeria international, told talkSPORTS.
“We are dealing with a true superstar. His work rate, even just the little ugly bits – stopping, blocking, fouling, getting tackles in, he does it all. From an attacking point of view he gives England another dimension.
“You need a bit of edge. The best players have an edge and I think he has a controlled edge.”
England will now face a high-flying French side in the quarter final of the Qatar 2022 World Cup. France defeated Poland 3 -1 earlier on Sunday.
