The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, has voiced “total disappointment” with the immediate previous Minister of State Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Agba’s “lopsided representation.”
According to NAN, the Oba stated this in a statement issued in Benin by Mr Iguobaro Osaigbovo, the monarch’s Chief Press Secretary.
The King stated that the ex-minister failed to spread ministerial benefits to the senatorial districts of Edo South and Edo Central while in office.
According to the statement, Oba Ewuare expressed dismay when reacting to the Minister, who was visiting the palace to thank it for its part in his appointment as a minister by former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Oba Ewuare pointed out that, having profited from the goodwill that led to his appointment, Agba should have returned the favor to the state’s three senatorial zones rather than engaging in “politics of disintegration.”
Oba Ewuare urged all Edo indigenes to use their good offices to bring development to the state and improve people’s lives.
He claimed that the former State Budget and Planning Minister performed “below expectation.”
