Neville, who predicted Arsenal would win the championship at the beginning of the year, has pushed Mikel Arteta, the manager, to add a new striker during the January transfer window.

Neville said to Sky Sports, “[The] center-forward [position] has been a problem in the games I have watched Arsenal this season.”

Arsenal has to get some work done in January, therefore they’re going to finish the game with [Leandro] Trossard up front.

“After a few Arsenal games this season, I’ve stated this: while both Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus are excellent center-forwards, I’d want them to be my No. 2 and No. 3 strikers.

“However, I believe Arsenal could win the title if they had a top No. 9—and they have had some really top No. 9s in the last 20 or 30 years.”
