As Sterling departs the England camp and returns to the UK, Koulibaly reacts

Raheem Sterling of received a letter of solidarity from Senegal center back Kalidou Koulibaly after armed burglars stormed into his home.

After the horrific experience, Sterling left England's World Cup team in Qatar on Sunday and flew back to London.

The 27-year-old was thus unable to participate in England's 3-0 victory over Senegal in the World Cup round of 16.

Koulibaly, Sterling's Chelsea colleague, said he will call the former player to discuss the development.

“I had no idea, truly. When questioned about the England star's departure from Qatar following Senegal's World Cup failure, Koulibaly responded, “I'm genuinely astonished.

I hope his family is doing well. I shall now phone him to find out what transpired. However, I wish him and his family well.
