Hazard tells Obi Mikel that playing in the Champions League final was the best game of his career

John Obi Mikel, a former Chelsea midfielder and current Real Madrid star, was told by Hazard that his finest performance came in the 2012 Champions League final versus Bayern Munich.

It was in Hazard's hotel room, he claimed, that he witnessed the Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Chelsea.

After a 1-1 tie, Chelsea defeated Bayern in a penalty shootout, with Obi Mikel being named one of the top performers (DAILY POST).

“Chelsea was not one of my options when I wanted to change clubs, until the day they won the Champions League,” Hazard remarked on the ObiOne Podcast.

“From my hotel room, I watched the game; Obi Mikel, you only played well in the Champions League final.”

Prior to Obi Mikel's 2017 departure from Chelsea for Chinese club Tianjin TEDA, Hazard was a teammate of Mikel's at Stamford Bridge.
