It was in Hazard’s hotel room, he claimed, that he witnessed the Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Chelsea.
After a 1-1 tie, Chelsea defeated Bayern in a penalty shootout, with Obi Mikel being named one of the top performers (DAILY POST).
“Chelsea was not one of my options when I wanted to change clubs, until the day they won the Champions League,” Hazard remarked on the ObiOne Podcast.
“From my hotel room, I watched the game; Obi Mikel, you only played well in the Champions League final.”
Prior to Obi Mikel’s 2017 departure from Chelsea for Chinese club Tianjin TEDA, Hazard was a teammate of Mikel’s at Stamford Bridge.
