Kano Pillars have filed an appeal against the NPFL’s N1 million sanction for fan invasion

have filed an appeal against the Nigeria Premier Football League penalties.

The Sai Masu Gida were fined N1 million for crowd invasion during their match against Rivers United last Sunday at the Sani Abacha Stadium.

Idris Malikawa, Kano Pillars' communications officer, revealed that the club has filed a letter to the NPFL asking them to reconsider their decision.

Malikawa also stated that the team has requested leniency from the NPFL.

“Kano Pillars have make a request to the league board to reconsider their decision,” he told the newspaper.

“Kano Pillars also plead for leniency from the NPFL for the action of our fans.”
