Pep Guardiola Has Announced His Successor As Manager Of Manchester City

According to reports from the UK Telegraph, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has reportedly informed the players of Brighton that their current manager Roberto De Zerbi will be his replacement.

Since he took over for Graham Potter thirteen months ago, De Zerbi has been doing exceptionally well in the Premier League.

The Italian guided the Seagulls to a sixth-place finish, which earned the club a spot in European competition for the very first time in their illustrious history.

Additionally, Brighton are often considered to be among the most visually appealing teams competing in England’s premier league.

It has now come to light that following the match between City and Brighton at the Amex Stadium in May, Guardiola was speaking to a couple of the Brighton players in the tunnel when he pointed in the direction of De Zerbi and stated, “that’s the next Man City manager.”

Even if De Zerbi is “greatly admired” at the Etihad, Guardiola still has the opportunity to extend his contract, which is set to expire in 2025.
