The INEC releases the PVC collecting date

The collection of Permanent Voter Cards will start on Monday, December 12, 2022, according to a statement from the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC.

Festus Okoye, the National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, made the declaration on Friday on behalf of the electoral authority.

The Commission has also decided to delegate PVC collecting to the 8,809 Registration Areas/Wards across the nation from Friday, January 6, to Sunday, January 15, , according to the announcement.

The dates for the collection of PVCs at all 774 of the commission's local government offices across the federation have been set by the commission as being from Monday, December 12, 2022, to Sunday, January 22, 2023.

The mechanism and the timeline for the collection of were revealed at a recent retreat in Lagos State, according to Okoye, who underlined this in the statement.

The facilities of the commission is being set on fire by suspected arsonists in the South East and other regions of the nation.
